Poseidon Underwater Resort in Fiji

Portland, Oregon isn't only home to TheBigDay, it's also where they're constructing the underwater hotel Poseidon Resort. Once it's completed in a shipyard in Portland, it will be shipped to Fiji, where it will be submerged in 40 feet of water in the middle of a 5000 acre coral lagoon. Better start saving your pennies now, though--it's expected to run $15,000 per person per week!

True...what makes this different is that the individual rooms at Poseidon will be separate underwater capsules. There's another resort in Dubai called Hydropolis. Here's a link to a CNN article that talks about Poseidon, the Ithaa restaurant in the Maldives, and the Hydropolis:

There was a story on our local TV station about this underwater resort. The location is still a mystery to many of us here in Fiji. It sounds like a really exciting concept. Fiction becoming reality in Fiji. Wow! Look forward to that.
Tui.
